No OpenSSL Error on AIX 6.1 Synergy 10.3.3

One of our customers has recently upgraded from Synergy 8.3.1 to Synergy 10.3.3 (At last!!) and we're having problems with Open SSL. We have upgraded it to 1.0.2 and the ldd command works but when we try and transmit XML to a server using HTTP_CLIENT_POST to a HTTPS server we are getting a "No OpenSSL" error. We're not sending a certificate - could it be that.

Thanks for any help

Further to the above - we're sending a TLS_FALLBACK_SCSV to the server which the server is rejecting do we need to use the SSLVER_TLS1_2 protocol. The default says it should be The default protocol is SSLVER_TLS1+SSLVER_TLS1_1+SSLVER_TLS1_2 for OpenSSL 1.0.1 and above and SSLVER_TLS1 for OpenSSL versions below 1.0.1.
OpenSSL 0.97 is still on the customers server could we have a version problem?
