An "Action canceled" error that occurs when opening online Help for a Synergy/DE product is most likely the result of Microsoft security update 896358, which prevents compressed HTML Help files (.chm) from being accessed over a network. Microsoft has published several KB articles on this subject, some of which list workarounds. A good place to start is Microsoft KB 896358 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896358/), which summarizes the issue and links to other related Microsoft KB articles. We also found the information in the following (retrieved 2/5/2010) helpful: www.helpscribble.com/chmnetwork.html.

Starting with Windows Vista, Microsoft no longer supports WinHelp; at that time (which was around Synergy/DE v9.1), we converted Help files for Synergy/DE to compressed HTML Help. Consequently, unless you employ one of the

workarounds mentioned above, a Synergy/DE Client machine cannot access these Help files on the shared machine.
